Greece is a peninsula, which means that it is surrounded on three sides by water. Greece has a lot of smaller peninsulas, Greece enjoys its harbors. Greece is covered with mountains, massive mountains. Greeks were known as great sailors, they sailed around the Mediterranean Sea and made colonies and the Greece soil was mainly just fertile. The Greeks had a wealth of seafood, a wealth of vegetables and fresh drinking water, they were very happy. The Roman empire took over the Geeks in 146 BC.
Famous landmarks
There are many famous land marks in Greece there is the Olympia and Delos which have been built by slaves and people in the ancient times. The Olympia was where the first Olympics were held and the significance of Olympia is religious and political. The religious associations of the place date from the prehistoric age, when, before the states of Ellis and Pisa had been founded. The island of Delos has religious landmarks and is significant because it is the birthplace of Atermis and Apollo significant to the people.
